The Salt Cellar

Advertising costs £££

Every other organisation in the world with a message has an advertising budget.

SaltSellers believes the Church has the best message ever – but no advertising budget.  Hell-o?

We want to create one.

A Salt Cellar, to place ads wherever non-believers are – radio, TV, hoardings, online …

But we’re starting where we know we’ll reach the outsiders.

Which is where you can help …

Salt Cellar

Average cost of a two week radio ad campaign, played often enough for people to remember them, is between £1,000 and £2,000 depending on the size of the audience.**

Bigger stations reach more people, so the cost per listen goes down.

Which is why we want to hit the biggest stations – brands like Heart or Capital, with audiences from 15 to 55. The age group least likely to go to traditional churches.

The dream is a national advertising budget, with economies of scale.

But, as other ad campaigns put it, every little helps.

So even if you can only fund one advert, your contribution can make a difference.

As soon as we have enough for airtime on one station, we’ll buy the space – and let you know when the ads will be broadcast.

EVERY PENNY YOU GIVE GOES TO PAY FOR AIRTIME. We use none of it for “admin” or overheads. We give our time and expertise free. So you can be sure your gifts make a difference.

At present we’re aiming for two campaigns a year: Easter and Christmas.

**Individual ads vary – breakfast time costs more than overnights – but one ad can cost anything from £50 to £150.
